I have found the alum relationships with my sorority sisters invaluable. When my husband and I moved, I was 8 months pregnant and had a 2 year old. I contacted the president of the alum club in my new city and had an immediate list of recommended pediatricians, ob, pre-schools, and toddler friendly parks with wading pools! That same 2 year old has just graduated from college and moved into her very first apartment. Her roommates? Sorority sisters who are helping each other navigate the world of work and fun beyond college. I completely concur with Jane’s comments.
